Dr. Teresa Wagner is a registered and licensed dietitian with a doctorate in public health. She’s certified in Public Health, Patient Safety, Clinical Health Equity, Lifestyle Medicine, Health Coaching, and a certified Community Health Worker (CHW) Instructor.
Dr. Wagner is an associate professor of Public Health in the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She's cross appointed in the College of Nursing's MSN and BSN programs and the College of Pharmacy's Lifestyle Health Sciences MS degree at UNT Health.
Dr. Wagner also serves as the Director of the UNT Health State Certified Community Health Worker Training Center.
She's a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice and a Fellow of the Texas Public Health Association.
Dr. Wagner’s research focuses on promoting access to care for everyone, especially in low-resourced and rural communities through health literacy. She’s a sought-after presenter and mentor who works to certify community health workers as conduits to health literacy to help people achieve their wellness goals.
